Let's be honest: raising kids in today’s digital landscape is incredibly overwhelming. We started Be Sharp Online because we were seeing this exhaustion from two very different angles. In her childcare network, Phebe was talking to parents who were completely burned out by screen time battles and social apps. Meanwhile, working in IT security, Justin was dealing with the technical reality of online threats every single day. Between the two of us, it just made sense to partner up and build something we hope will help a lot of people navigate this with confidence.

Justin: The IT Security Expert

Hi, I'm Justin. I've spent the last 15 years working as an IT professional, dealing with complex cyber threats every day. While securing corporate networks is important work, I realized my true calling is much closer to home: keeping kids safe online. Partnering with my wife, we set out to build a practical tool that actually empowers families.

My goal for this platform is to give you tailored, dead-simple advice that you can understand and implement at a glance. Be Sharp Online is here to help you execute those critical, high-impact fixes so you can stop guessing, confidently secure your home network, and always know where the next threat is coming from.

Phebe: The Child Whisperer

Hello, I'm Phebe! I’ve spent over a decade working with kids—from my time as a career nanny to running the show as a camp coordinator. Let's just say I've seen it all, including my fair share of epic meltdowns over screen time limits. All that hands-on time means I know how kids actually engage with the digital world on a day-to-day basis. While Justin focuses on locking down the network, my job is to make sure our safety strategies actually work for the very real, very spirited humans living in your house.

Growing up in a Filipino household, there was a massive emphasis on family and community, and I want this platform to feel like an extension of that. After all, we are helping out our own friends and family with this! Rather than playing the role of 'digital bouncer' and constantly fighting over app limits, we have this amazing chance to act as their guides and empower them to make smart choices. I'll be sharing practical advice, personal stories, and easy conversational scripts to help you handle those tricky digital moments with total confidence and a lot of empathy.
